A review of something undertaken by Donald Trump, especially a Donald Trump-backed MLM, is not an easy endeavor. After all, who am I to review a business decision made by one of the world’s richest men who has proved himself successful in many and various opportunities?

Well, I may not travel in the leagues of Donald Trump, but I am an Internet marketer and have been involved in the MLMindustry for over ten years. I am a former lawyer, well-trained in analysis, and not easily swayed by hype and nonsense. I have learned how to use the Internet effectively to market outside the traditional MLM methods, but am well-versed in old-school MLM techniques and practices. I have seen and judged successfully which opportunities will succeed and which will fail – and which ones are pure scams. I was “sold” on the MLM concept years ago and have not looked back. Long before Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki extolled the virtues of MLM, lending a legitimacy and a boost to the industry’s frequently maligned status, I was in. So even if it is “the Donald” launching the company, I have the experience and years in the industry to comment or review the new opportunities which seem to hit us every day.

Is Trump Network MLM a Scam?

In a word, no. Here is where some of Donald Trump’s experience, success and reputation are extremely useful in providing a would-be member of the organization a certain amount of legitimacy and allow even the newest of newbies to grab the ear of someone who might be initially adverse to any time of MLM opportunity. The Trump Network has “the Donald’s” name behind it and that counts big time. That does not necessarily make it the right opportunity for you, but it counts in opening some doors which might otherwise be slammed in your face.

This is not Mr. Trump’s first public foray into MLM. He did that when he became a paid endorser of ACN, a communications based network marketing opportunity. When ACN received the personal endorsement of Donald Trump, it made network marketing history. The Trump Network, no doubt, will do the same simply because of the identity of its founder.

What Exactly is the Trump Network Marketing?

The Trump Network is in pre-launch, and will not officially open its doors until October, 2009 At present, according to the website, one can sign up there to obtain more information on the opportunity, but the “big event” is scheduled for the Fall.

Trump purchased a company called Ideal Health, a health and wellness company which supplies vitamins and supplements purportedly custom designed based upon an individual’s results on five separate tests, some saliva, some urinary, some blood. What changes will be made, if any, to the company’s current scientific protocol remains to be seen. Nor am I competent to speak to its scientific claims, but you can find information by investigating the underlying company, Ideal Health.

Customized vitamins and supplements have become all the rage in recent months, and in fact I market a product produced by one of Ideal Health’s competitor’s which bases its determination of your individual needs on the results of sampling your own DNA (obtained by swabbing your cheek).

No doubt, the Trump fortune behind this company will create a media blitz which will bring brand recognition, something often lacking in start-ups and important to consider when beginning a new opportunity. This is a plus an individual might want to consider in determining whether to become part of this opportunity.

Trump Network is Not Waiting Until Launch

Although still in pre-launch and while undergoing corporate reorganization to ready itself for launch. A 24-hour/day recorded phone call describes the opportunity (618-355-1511). Twice-weekly webinars are already taking place describing the opportunity. According to the recorded message, Trump wanted to create an opportunity to assist the many Americans suffering from the current economic crisis. Press releases will be everywhere, and Trump will be appearing on Oprah, Larry King and other giants. The Trump Network is aggressively seeking pre-launch membership, offering incentives to jump in early.

For the new member, they will receive a Starter Kit, which does not yet bear the Trump name, but will assist the marketers in getting started.

What is the Cost of Getting in?

What is Missing?

It is an undisputed fact that 97% of network marketers fail completely in this business. Yet they continue to press on, jumping from company to company in the hopes of finding “the one.” While this review indicates the Trump Network may well be a good investment for a home-based business opportunity seeker, what is lacking is what the 3-percenters have, know and use to make their millions. The Trump Network appears to be an opportunity in which money can be made, but without access to and use of what the 3-percenters rely on – it will go no farther than any other here today, gone tomorrow opportunity or a scam one

That “something” is a system – a system of technology and training, provided by the power players who know the ins and outs, and have made their millions. The system must be duplicatable, constantly improved, and provide all the computer gizmos you need to market your business so you do not have to reinvent the wheel.

Hands down, I have found that system to be one developed through the hard work of a young entrepreneur who in just a few years has gone from nothing to multi-millionaire status. Someone who knows the back doors of Google, how to set up web pages and funnels, to attract people to working with you – because frankly in most instances the product and the company are irrelevant. Success in MLM is all about building relationships – on line or off. In today’s world, MLM has taken the Internet by storm, creating more millionaires each year than ever imagined. Quietly, in their own homes, non-descript, unknown people are making millions.

A great company is a start – but without the marketing system, already set up for you to plug and play, you might as well throw your money out the window. That is why I completely depend upon and recommend choosing a product you have confidence in, but make sure it has the marketing system to back it up. The money is there, but you can spend a fortune trying to learn the online world – why reinvent the wheel?
